Gargnano Municipality is spreaded along 78 square km and counts 3006 settlers, divided between the Center, 2 lake and 10 mountain hamlets (the farer is Costa,18 km from the center, the Italian record). Because of the great number of mountains, its territory is scarcely populated, with an average 42 people per sq.km. Due to the good climate conditions, during the most part of the year, this side of the lake is clinically suggested for heart deseases recovery. Lots of writers (Goethe, D.H.Lawrence,ecc.) wrote about Gargnano, but there's no phrase capable to enclose all the beauty and charm of this small town nestled between olive and lemon trees.
